Stigma attached to CT people is that they find problems in other races with regard to the above.

JHB - lots of mixing and matching but still the window of "Do not mix" remains open

DBN - well, not much mixing at social venues so u can imagine the above.

why is it? when do we make the paradigm shift?

I think there are beautiful women across all cultures so why just stick to your own. Have u ever met someone that changed your perception of this.

i hope i do not step on anyones toes with this subject.

Though it is becoming more and more accepted in society today, interracial dating and relationships still cause conflicts and suffer from judgment, trust me I am a product of one of these relationships and ridicule and snickering behind my families backs when going out was the norm of the day.

There are many who choose to share their love and life with one of another color, which is wonderful because love sees no color. Unfortunately, not everyone sees it this way and that includes family and friends. The opinions of your parents, other relatives and friends truly effect how you feel about yourself and the way you handle your relationship. Being accepted as a couple would make things much more comfortable and harmonious, but that is the thing about interracial dating. . . it can be more challenging than most relationships.

It is difficult to ignore or not let the judgment of others influence your emotions and thoughts, especially because most of the judgment that will be served to you will come from your immediate family. It may sound hopeless, but there are ways you can keep your relationship and help your family understand and accept your decision.

It.s an ironice twist to the simple fact that being bruin as we are ( a product of mix race ) , we then tend/decide to discriminate againts other races per say. Now ain;t that funny as it is since we ARE a product of a historically mixed couples, then we turn around and discriminate againts other races when it comes to transracial dating ...?

Well I was fortunate enough to be taught, socialised and bought up in a racially harmogonized enviroment. Funny though 95% of these individuals that are my friends and close to me are " Caucasian,White,European," and I manage to "slip" into their culture effortlessly withuout any qualms about skin coulour.............go figure that out.

I believe in humanity and the goodness of each and every single one of us on this planet , regardless of skin colour, anyways if you do manage to look at people closer these days, there is a bit of everyting in them.....Wow wow wee i mean look at Angelina Jolie with those Black Lips, Halle Berry With that Hispanic Bod,Catherine Zeta Jones Indian Sultyness.......

Interacial dating:
The phenomenon has been around for as long as men are hunters. The point is to be seen, not to date. To get the tongues wagging. Others' tongues. Like your ex-cherrie, your bras. And strangely enough it has been a unidirectional pursuit: males pursuing females, and mostly of a lighter skin tone! So I'm generalising, but most of you will agree with me.

Interacial marriage:
Now here's another kettle of fish altogether. This is serious stuff. Most times, this seems to have no predictable formulae of ratios, trends etc. Doens't get as much attention or gossip-value as dating or sex, but turns heads at shopping malls, especially in Pretoria.

Interacial sex:
Same as dating. This has A LOT of "talk-about-your-conquests-around-the-braai" value.

Quite honestly, too much fuss is made about the whole thing. But it will always be a talking point. As for Bruinous as subjects of pursuit, we're kinda like the middle ground or starting point for those willing to venture beyond the confines of their own race. As for Bruinous as pursuers, we're willing to dalla anything within the realms of the human race.

HONESTLY I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH IT !!!!

Yes I do like my coloured brothers......But wont just "limite" myself to "COLOUREDS" it aint about the colour, for me its about being HAPPY.
And if I should say....I was approached by a white guy ....
He is fun and more open ...hence its PERSONALITY !!!
Honestly his personality out shines everything else....and you dont get "COLOURED" men that is build like that.
I have Tattoo's and whites ALWAYS have tattoo's ...its just so fascinating. The ruff life and you know what ,THEY LOVE IT WHEN YOU DRINK BEER !!!!
Thats also the differents because coloureds can really look down on you for being inlove with AMSTEL... (I am one of those chicks)

have you ever seen with your friends or just someone that you meet. They are white but they have coloured souls. Same goes for african people and coloureds. Therefor its so easy to connect and get a spark....

Its the new South Africa.....We can do shopping like we please....

But at the end.........I DONT FORGET MY ROOTS

As long as she is HOT!

HOTNESS has no colour.

On this note I am reminded of a very hilarious movie I watched called:
Guess Who

BERNIE MAC plays a protective father, worried that his
daughter is dating a white man whose job status is questionable.

I ripped when the daughter comes home with her White boyfriend in a cab driven by a Black man and the parents unware that the boyfriend is white and not Black. The Dad ou Bernie is so excited his greets and welcomes the cab driver instead ...Yoh! ...I was ripping ...heeheehee

I have been registered on the dating site datingappsadvice.com/disco-dating-app-re...ing-and-gay-chat.app for several years, and I have never faced any discrimination. I am half Hispanic, but I have never tried to hide it. Actually, I am proud of it. And people who might not like my origin have never tried to approach me. So it all depends on how you treat it yourself.
