The Riverlea Riots Featured

(Our frontline correspondent, Riverlea resident, agent-provocateur and gung-ho operator of Bruinou.com's sister site Kullid.co.za, Ronald Dyers reports on the Riverlea service delivery protests which happened last week. It definitely seems that when one goes lower down the social strata, people are not afraid to do what is necessary to initiate change...a far cry from the staggering indifference exhibited by people higher up in the social stakes...which is a pity...really - Ed)

Donderdag (22 October 2009) was dit woes in Riverlea! Gattas, helikopters, JMPD vans, pump actions, rubber bullets, hippos, honne, ennie manne wat fight - ouens wat die hele Nasrec Road block. Die mense is moeg van niks huise kry nie. Die mense is siek vir dik dik stadiums wat langs hulle gebou word en hulle eie township word nie upgrade nie. Die mense is plain gatvol...! |
Daan en Linette Pretorius is gearresteer en twee persone gewond. Waar is Basil Douglas, nou huh? Kanna hy't mos vir Patricia de Lille ge-join om niks mee vir onse mense te doen nie. Waar is Danny Titus nou, huh? Kanna hy sit cozy en drink lekke tee vannie Lannies by die ATKV. Kanna wa is onse mense... Gedrop en flops gemaak. Kanna dit kannie so aangaan nie. Kanna ons kom huistoe! Kanna ons gaan die sake uitsort!
