When the way you are spoken to or spoken about by anyone is based on incorrect assumptions, it invariably would offend you and you would probably grab at the first opportunity to change that.

Have you ever been taken aback, and asked yourself: “What can I do to shift these mind sets about us”?

Many of our readers and registered members say they find that mainstream media, marketers and advertisers often address those who fall within the broad category of the Coloured population group through the use of misguided stereotypes.

It is a narrative that has remained constant since the inception of Bruinou.com in 2001 and throughout the years of our existence.

It is about time that we challenge those stereotypes that media, marketers and advertisers constantly bombard us with. We at Bruinou.com have been presented with an opportunity to influence a change in the way they speak to us.

We need you to be part of that change by participating in a survey which will form part of a study that aims to give media, marketers and advertisers a better understanding of how we want them to speak to us and about us.

The survey takes less than 5 minutes to complete and by participating in this initiative, you stand a chance to win one of three R200 vouchers.

The process is fairly easy and simply requires you to tick off your answers to the multiple option questions.

There are absolutely no right or wrong answers and all we ask of you is that you take this opportunity to help us tell it like it is.
