"In The Midst Of It All" is a song written a few years ago by the well-known Cape Town Gospel singer Pastor Wilmot Fredericks. Today this song has become an encouragement through hardship and pain for him and his family.

Losing a child, a parent's greatest fear. In the midst of it all, is a tribute to "the real singer" in the family Wilton Fredericks, a son gone too soon, as well as to his mother, Dollie Fredericks and his brother, Byron Fredericks. It is a song with a message to cherish the moments and memories of those lost, those found and those alive.

Wilton, of the Christian Explainers Church in Delft, was gunned down in a drive-by shooting along with two of his childhood friends while having a conversation with them in front of his family home in Nooitgedacht, Bishop Lavis.
The 31 year old Gospel singer was due to perform with his father Wilmot and his brother Byron at a Father’s Day service at the Victory Outreach Church in Goodwood on Sunday, as well as at a benefit concert for the family of late singer Ricardo Groenewald in Athlone on the Sunday night.

This tragedy has now also inspired an array of new songs which will be performed live at the concert.
"What the enemy intends for evil God will use for good."
"In hosting this concert, we invite all friends and family to come and celebrate life, love  and happiness."

The 'Standing Tall' concert also marks the birthday celebration of Wilmot Fredericks making this a family production not to be missed.
