On Friday 27 April 2018 the second edition of The Best of Ekapa Hip Hop Bring 'n Braai Family Day will be bringing together Hip Hop Artists, Practitioners and Fans along with their families and friends from across the Western Cape. With onboard as an official media partner of the event we will be giving away a set of double tickets each to two of our lucky readers but more about that further below in this article.

The Best of Ekapa Hip Hop events has its beginnings during 2010 at the well-loved live music venue The Purple Turtle situated in the city CBD and over the years it has become the foremost platform for local artists to show their skills, sell their product and network with fellow industry heads.
Since its inception over 130 local artists have performed at Best of Ekapa with a few having by now establishing sustainable careers within the music industry, among others Hemel Besem, Khanyi, Youngsta, Isaac Mutant, Jerome Rex, Pinki & The Bruin and Cream.

Best of Ekapa Hip Hop has also featured international artists Jean Grae, Pharoah Monch and Onyx.

The Bring 'n Braai Family Day event is aimed at bringing together practitioners and fans of the Hip Hop culture as well as Promoting and Developing a Sustainable local Hip Hop Industry.
Most importantly uniting the huge Hip Hop community dispersed around the Western Cape and to satisfy the hungry Hip Hop consumer’s thirst for Authentic Local Hip Hop, R&B & Reggae music.
The line-up of Artists and DJ's is a well balanced mix of styles across the genres of Hip Hop and Urban Music .

The B.O.E. Hip Hop Bring 'n Braai Family Day will be hosted on Friday 27 April 2018 at The Yes We Can Hall in Oude Molen Eco Village, Pinelands from 14H00 to

Braai facilities will be set-up, attendees must bring their own wood, charcoal, meat & salads.
The venue also offers many family friendly activities during the day and kids will especially enjoy the Play Shed as well as seeing horses on display.

In considering the ongoing water crisis, we encourage you to bring along your own hand-sanitizer and though bottled water will be on sale, you are welcome to bring your own water.

Presold Tickets are Only R30 each and the Cover Charge at The Door is R50 pp.

Kids Under 12 Accompanied by an Adult pay R10

A Corkage Fee of R30 per 6-Pack / Bottle will apply.

No Quart / 1Lt Beers Will Be Allowed at the Venue.
