On Saturday morning, 18 July 2020 the Holy Cross Child & Youth Care Centre Orphanage near Belhar cemetery was severely damaged by a fire that unfortunately caused all the children there to lose most of their personal belongings.

We call on our readers, registered members, followers, partners and friends to please assist the Inspire Network NPO in rendering relief services to the  Holy Cross Orphanage.

The #InspireNetwork has engaged with Sister Marion of the orphanage who has indicated that donations of underwear and shoes are urgently required and would be highly appreciated.

Girls and boys ages 2 to 14 need panties, bras, underpants and socks. Shoes range from sizes small 5 to big 6.

Other donations of blankets and clothes will be welcome too.

The items may be dropped off at the convent next to the orphanage or you may contact the Inspire Network to collect it (if you are unable to deliver and you are situated within a reasonable distance).

For more information on the children's ages and sizes, feel free to contact the Inspire Network as they have obtained the detailed lists of requirements.

To offer your assistance directly to Holy Cross Orphanage, to arrange delivery of your direct donations of clothes, other items and offer any other form of help, including offering financial contributions, please contact Sister Marion on 0795112591.

Sister Marion has indicated that for now obtaining direct donations of the required items is their highest priority and financial contributions, though always welcome, is secondary as the physical goods are needed with urgency.

To offer your assistance to the Holy Cross Orphanage via the Inspire Network, feel free to contact Steve Ross on 0813898026.
