Recycled Teenagers are gearing up for what will be the Ultimate High Schools Reunion when The Xpendables invade Westend in Rylands on 3 June 2023 and you are invited along for the exciting Old School ride down memory lane in an event designed for lovers of Retro Club Culture from the past 30 years and beyond.

Reminiscent of the heroes in the movie about old soldiers who still have a whole lot of fight in them and are always ready to go to war, The Xpendables are a group of DJ's who helped shape the Clubbing Landscape in the 80's and 90's and who are still regularly rocking crowds all over Cape Town and the rest of the country.

Representing some of the top local clubs from the 80's and 90's, these veteran DJ’s are as relevant and active today as when they were at the height of their fame and dare we say, with the advent of social media are even more famous now than they were back then.

DJ Newton aka The Funky Buddha representing Club Company

Joining your host Uncle Cal aka The Afro Ninja and making The Xpendables High Schools Reunion the Ultimate Night to Remember will be DJ Natano (Club Fame), DJ Superfly (Le Club), DJ Fast Eddie (Club Vibe) and DJ Newton (Club Company).
Though these clubs have long ago ceased their existence, their DJ’s and the memories they helped create for us will never be forgotten.

Also on the cards are special appearances and live performances by the self-proclaimed outrageous Queen of Disco Vuvu Kumalo performing a few classic disco hits and reintroducing her original dance track, Without You, which was written and produced by Uncle Cal during lockdown.

DJ Uncle Cal akaThe Afro Ninja

This event produced by Calvin Peters aka DJ Uncle Cal who is a seasoned entertainer and events promoter aptly ushers in Youth Month.and he will in the weeks leading up to the event reveal more about how The Xpendables High Schools Reunion event will impact Uncle Cal's planned Youth Month Activities for June 2023.

His brand of course needs no introduction to Cape Town audiences and has expanded immensely over the past 12 years evolving into being a popular custodian of our Old School Culture, and his Afro Ninja image being clad in a Kung Fu outfit combined with a huge Disco-era Afro has become quite established on social media platforms and is also frequently seen on events flyers.

Uncle Cal carries a high level of credibility within the entertainment industry and audiences have grown accustomed to the high-quality events associated with the brand.
