Well... I can't remember how many times over the past few months I've told people "No, Nommer 37 is not your 'run-of-the-mill' Cape Flats gangster movie".
To be honest... Until now that was based on the information I have been given by people involved in different aspects of the production of the movie, but now I have actually seen the entire film.

On a quick visit home to South Africa, in between filming episodes of The Flash in her role as The Mechanic, Kim Engelbrecht revealed a little more about the character she plays and about  her experience of filming in Canada.
 
The Mechanic is the devoted assistant to “The Flash” Season 4 nemisis The Thinker, but the actress said that her character isn’t entirely evil.

Kay Smith has decided to repond to the jibes and that she did with a very positive attitude in a video presented and narrated by journalist Bertram Malgas.

Almal wat op die Kaapse Vlakte groot geword het sal verstaan wat ek bedoel as ek sê: “Nee kyk hie vi hare verskrik.” Die uitdrukking “hare verskrik” word vir enige een gebruik wat óf te veel met hul hare speel óf wie dink hul hare maak hulle mooi. Dit kan ook net wees dat die persoon wie sê “jy’s hare verskrik” net plein jaloers of naar is. Maar dat gladde hare ‘n big deal in veral Kaapstad is, is geen geheim nie. Dis ‘n feit soos die bestaan van ‘n GHD. Ek kan hiervan met ondervinding getuig. My ondervinding mag dalk verskil van die volgende persoon s’n, maar ek is seker daar sal hier en daar ooreenkomste wees.
