Just in time for Cape Town's Festive Season, Popular Comedian Marc Lottering has a brand new show running at The Baxter from running from 30 November 2017 to 13 January 2018.
Marc Lottering’s most beloved character, Aunty Merle Abrahams from Belgravia Road in Athlone, sashays onto the stage in the musical-comedy AUNTY MERLE, THE MUSICAL.


High Drama unfolds as Merle’s daughter Abigail (Tarryn Lamb) announces her engagement to Alan (Stephen Jubber). As Merle puts it: “he’s a good-looking white chap!”

On a quick visit home to South Africa, in between filming episodes of The Flash in her role as The Mechanic, Kim Engelbrecht revealed a little more about the character she plays and about  her experience of filming in Canada.
 
The Mechanic is the devoted assistant to “The Flash” Season 4 nemisis The Thinker, but the actress said that her character isn’t entirely evil.

The University of Cape Town has renamed its Palm Court Residence in Mowbray in honour of Harold Cressy.
In 1910 Harold Cressy was the first Coloured person to gain a degree studying at a South AFrican institution when he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCT which was then known as the South African College.

Kim Engelbrecht Lands New Role in The Flash

Make no mistake. This is Huge! ...but Kim Engelbrecht is not simply a "flash-in-the-pan" actress who just happened to get lucky.
Kim has come a long way having spent more than two decades building a solid career in the entertainment industry.
