Spinners, the South African series production starring Cantona James bagged three important awards at Dakar Series 2023.
The festival  in Dakar, Senegal, awaded Spinners for Best TV Series, Best Editing and Best Performance to lead actor Cantona James.

The South African series filmed in Cape Town is the first African series ever selected in competition at Canneseries.
Cantona James stars in Spinners as Ethan, a 17-year-old driver working for a local gang but his newfound talent opens up a whole new world for him.

Heading north into the Kalahari Desert leaving Upington Airport for the 182km trip to our first stop in Askham and then on to Rietfontein another 86km west on the R31, we were really impressed that the roads are in an absolutely superb condition.
A stretch of the R360 road is in fact where test cars with special permits are allowed to drive at up to 250kmh.
