I am compelled to question the political purpose of the recent Netwerk24 article 'Wit Afrikaner dra gene van slawe en Khoisan - studie' (White Afrikaners carry genes of slaves and Khoisan - study).
Ethno-nationalism between South Africa's black and coloured people, in fact ethno-nationalism between all people is growing, along with it discrimination and anti blackness that detracts from the common experience of a shared struggle.

Clifton's Sheep in Wolves' Clothes

Kleurlinge... yes that is the only way I feel like describing these adherents of a false consciousness... Kleurlinge losing their minds over a sheep being slaughtered on a beach which they themselves as people are regularly being bullied to vacate and until a few decades ago were not even allowed the privilege to visit or set foot on.

I here want to tackle a serious and vexing issue which poses a threat to the Khoi Revivalist sector and to all South Africans. It is a painful matter to talk about but it cannot go unchecked. It is as serious as the racist outbursts on social media by the likes of Vicky Momberg and Penny Sparrow. These are the foul, contemptuous and racist outbursts used with impunity on social media by that part of the lunatic fringe or Fake Khoi with their fake histories and fraudulent claims. If one studies this phenomenon we can see that it traces back to the same extremism of the white right-wing and it goes back to PW Botha’s strategy to indoctrinate those labelled “Coloured”.

Zelna Jansen not only looks at what drew her personal anger at the proposal from KZNH structures of the ANC calling for the exclusion of Coloured (and Indian) persons from BBBEE, but unlike most of us... the statement touched a raw nerve and made many of us angry... as a lawyer she felt compelled to make an argument based on facts and not on emotions and gives us her objective reasoning as to why The Call for The Exclusion of Coloureds from BBBEE is Unconstitutional.

Smoortjies en Smoothies is intended to take us on journey of tastes and flavours and to get the event we had to take a little journey to the town of Paarl. As we were winding our way through the beautiful rural scenery, we were wondering how anyone not familiar with the area would even find the venue but once we arrived at the Old Mill Theatre, we realised that the trip was going to be all worth it.

No, Smoortjies & Smoothies is not a food festival but it was definitely a feast filled with musical flavour.

Our aim has always been to create dialogue among people who fall within the Coloured population group exactly because we all have diversely differing ideas about what our group identity entails.
We take a look at how a 2015 Article by Eusebius McKaiser, The Coloured Mentality Video Series, The Indigenous Liberation Walk and Bruinou.com's Raison d'etre all tie in with each other.
