South Africa's Kim Engelbrecht who is steadily becoming a household name with television and film audiences across the world has been nominated for an International Emmy Best Actress award for her lead role in local crime drama "Reyka".
The show is also nominated in the Best Drama Series category.

 

Reyka, in which Kim Engelbrecht stars as the criminal profiler Reyka Gama who is investigating a string of brutal serial killings in the sugarcane fields of KwaZulu-Natal, has won four awards at this year's South African Film and Television Awards (Saftas), including Best Actress for Kim Engelbrecht.

On a quick visit home to South Africa, in between filming episodes of The Flash in her role as The Mechanic, Kim Engelbrecht revealed a little more about the character she plays and about  her experience of filming in Canada.
 
The Mechanic is the devoted assistant to “The Flash” Season 4 nemisis The Thinker, but the actress said that her character isn’t entirely evil.
